I think this is a really interesting composition; at first the width of the bench seemed a bit too long, but I like how that much space really emphasizes the theme of isolation. Also the repeating strokes of the bench's backing give off a sense of being trapped. The color palette is restrained and fits the image well also; very subdued and desaturated.
