Soldier with a Plumed Cap

Fillippo Napoletano created this etching in the 16th century. I am a sucker for renaissance art, probably due to its lifelike quality. This piece is so innocent and beautiful. The detail in his clothing is amazing. I find it slightly humorous that this piece is so brilliant to look at but you cannot see the face of the soldier. The artist had to have been pretty good at what he does if the figure has no face, just a backside.
